Finished Reading: Fire and Fury – Inside the Trump White House, by Michael Wolff

Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White HouseFire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House by Michael Wolff
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I don’t believe this book to be exceptionally well written and neither do I like the way the author went about getting his information and the confidence of those he wrote about. Sure, the guy in charge is a fool, but I don’t believe that warrants the loss of morality to prove what is already known anyway.

There are probably a few previously unknown observations made in the book, but having closely followed the first year of the Trump presidency from ‘Down Under (as best I can from here), I don’t think there is anything substantially new in the book. It is, however, a good summation of the state of the US government under Trump, his leadership (or lack thereof) and the pathetic sycophantic actions/reactions of his minions in the West Wing.

I did enjoy the read if that is how one can describe such depressing incompetency in national leadership, and I believe it is probably a reasonable epitome of the Trump presidency.
