Not My Review: Grieving – Your Path Back to Peace by James White

A year or so ago, I lamented that I had not yet found the pastoral resource I was looking for to give to people grieving the death of a close friend or loved one.  I wanted something centered on the gospel, but also short, concrete and simply written.  Today, as I rummaged through the shelf of my local Christian thrift shop, I finally came across what I’d been seeking.

Grieving: Your Path Back to Peace is written by none other than James White.  Yes, THE James White.  Apologist, debater, author, cyclist, host of “The Dividing Line” podcast, Reformed Baptist elder and, as it turns out, a counselor of those facing grief.  I have spent hours reading White’s apologetics materials, especially on Roman Catholicism (here and here) and the doctrines of grace (here).  I had no idea that this little gem was on his palmares!
