This book provides a good introduction to Rome, its rise, and fall. However, the book should have been edited to a greater degree than it was, for it is poor throughout in this respect. The editing fails what would otherwise have been a good (though brief) introduction to Rome.

I am beginning a slow, measured return to Blogging. My health has improved somewhat, though I came close to destroying an eye (that has also recovered well) due to an injury I sustained. So I’m starting with this Blog to see how I go.
